PVC-U Casement Windows
The multi-chamber slender line frame sections are fusion welded on all joints, including transoms and mullions, and reinforced with galvanised steel in accordance with the manufacturers specification (All Conservatories are fully reinforced throughout).
The windows feature a decorative edging inside and out, the glass being retained within the frame by glazing beads on the inside for maximum security. All opening vents have low maintenance stainless steel friction hinges, double weather seals and are secured by the latest multi point high security locking system and key locking handles. The locking system provides a secondary locking position to allow ventilation whilst staying secure.
PVC-U Residential Doors
Door leaves and frames are fusion welded throughout and fully reinforced.
The locking system is amongst the most secure available with multi point locking cams and hook bolts exceeding the current specification laid down by the Association of British Insurers. Where provided, insulated panels may include a steel reinforced sheet.
Sealed Units
All Double Glazing is provided with sealed units measuring 28mm overall thickness, two sheets of 4mm safety glass with a 20mm air space. As standard we use “K” glass on all installations. The sealed units are manufactured to meet BS5713 Kitemark and safety glazing is provided in accordance with BS6262 requirements.
Roofs
The roof is constructed of Aluminium and clad in PVC-U for insulation and ease of maintenance. National snow and wind loading factors are taken into consideration and, along with the size of the roof, determine the final glazing rafter bar construction to be used. A patented roof ridge allows draft free trickle ventilation, helping to reduce overheating, and this is capped with a selection of decorative crestings and finials from you to choose from. The aluminium ring beam fitted to the top of the Conservatory Main Frame supports the roof and houses the semi recessed classic gutter. The roof is glazed with 25mm Polycarbonate roofing sheets in Opal, Clear, Bronze or Opal/Bronze to comply with BS6206 regarding falling debris. There is also a selection of coloured tints to choose from.
The roof is weather sealed to the main building. This will normally include a lead flashing, Stepped or otherwise. A cavity tray will always be fitted where possible.
